English
Our English curriculum follows the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), ensuring students develop strong literacy skills across reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The program emphasizes critical thinking, literary analysis, research skills, and communication. Younger students focus on foundational literacy, while older students engage in advanced comprehension, composition, and rhetorical techniques.
Macedonian Language
Aligned with the Macedonian National Curriculum, this subject develops linguistic proficiency, reading comprehension, writing, and oral communication. Students explore Macedonian literature, grammar, and culture, fostering bilingual competence and a deep appreciation of linguistic heritage.
Mathematics
Our mathematics curriculum follows the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and integrates real-world problem-solving with mathematical reasoning. Students build fluency in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, probability, and statistics, preparing them for higher-level quantitative thinking and applications.
Social Studies
Following the C3 Framework for Social Studies State Standards and the Macedonian National Curriculum, students explore history, geography, civics, and economics. Science
Our science curriculum follows the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and is supplemented by Macedonian state resources. Students engage in hands-on scientific inquiry, exploring topics in physical, life, and earth sciences. The curriculum emphasizes STEM integration, experimental learning, and scientific literacy.
Visual Arts
Aligned with the National Core Arts Standards (NCAS), our visual arts program encourages creativity, artistic expression, and technical skill development. Students explore drawing, painting, sculpture, digital arts, and art history while learning to critique and interpret artistic works.
Music and Movement
Following the National Core Arts Standards (NCAS), our music curriculum develops musical literacy, instrumental and vocal skills, and an appreciation for diverse musical traditions. Students engage in performance, composition, and analysis, integrating technology where applicable.
Physical Education (PE)
Our PE curriculum is based on SHAPE America Standards and promotes physical fitness, motor skills, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle choices. Students participate in structured activities, team sports, and individual fitness challenges, fostering lifelong wellness habits.
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
Based on the CASEL framework, SEL helps students develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, responsible decision-making, and interpersonal skills. Lessons integrate with other subjects and include reflection, role-playing, and community-building activities.
Project-Based Learning (PBL)
Our PBL program fosters inquiry, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving. Students work on interdisciplinary projects that integrate multiple subjects, developing research skills, creativity, and teamwork while applying knowledge to authentic challenges.
IT/Technology
Aligned with ISTE Standards, our IT curriculum equips students with digital literacy, coding, and computational thinking skills. Students engage in programming, multimedia creation, cybersecurity, and responsible digital citizenship, ensuring they are prepared for the technological demands of the future.
Foreign Languages
Our foreign language program introduces students to new languages and cultures, focusing on communication skills, grammar, and cultural literacy. Languages offered include German and French, following CEFR guidelines to build proficiency progressively across reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
